Referred to by at least one critic as "the T-Bone Burnett of Canada," Steve Dawson's record label is home to some of this continent's finest folk and roots independent artists. Being personal fans of many of their roster artists, including Jim Byrnes and Kelly Joe Phelps, we've been thrilled to have a continuing business relationship with Black Hen.
We built a brand new Drupal site to coincide with Steve's album release, incorporating a beautiful new design by Suzanne Stromotich. Like many of the modern CMS sites we build, some of the biggest changes are things only our client sees. By building the back-end content creation tools from scratch, we set up a environment that lets the Black Hen team manage their site and push out dynamic content updates in a snap. Managing artists, artist photos, reviews, album, tracks, audio samples, etc can be a daunting task. With the tools we built, the team can manage the whole thing on a single page.
