June, 2017

For over 30 years, the Canadian Association of University Teachers had led the charge for equity and protection of the rights of academic workers locally and abroad. Their incredible body of work is demonstrated in as many years of monthly publications, all available online.

Broken Ladder

April, 2016

Nothing could be more local than cider produced from British Columbia apples. BC Tree Fruit’s Broken Ladder site is bursting with rich imagery and deep responsiveness—their pride in craft and presentation is as big as their flavour.

We’ve worked with several BC Tree Fruits properties, and glad to have helped in fine-tuning this one for screens big and small. Designed by BRANDFX.

Sustainable Prosperity

August, 2015

The good folks at at Linking Natural Capital & Productivity are committed to making transparent the effects of economic activity on the environment. They are the brainchild of Sustainable Prosperity, a “national green economy think tank/do tank.”

SP wanted to expand their site design—a flexible, commercial Drupal theme—to visually distinguish their offshoot project. Extending an existing Drupal theme is an easy and affordable solution to iterate on an existing property by stamping it with a personal palette and brand.

September, 2014

We collaborated with OpenRoad to add new interactive features to a multi-donor program dedicated to strengthening the capacity of independent policy research organizations in the developing world.

Users can now navigate laterally by region or research area to dynamically browse the list of relevant organizations. A new interactive map lets users turn the globe and discover policy initiatives geographically.

BC Egg

August, 2014

Both an inventory of data, history and advocacy for BC's egg industry, and a trove of eggcelent recipe ideas, the new BCEgg.com is bold and beautiful. It looks great in a screen-wide browser, and it scales down eleggantly for tablets, phablets and phones.

As eggspected, we used Drupal for a familiar and lightening fast-CMS control over a site that is hand-coded to look all its own.

Shift Urban Cargo

January, 2014

If you commute downtown, you have probably seen one of Shift's unique cargo tricycles buzzing along Howe street or the Dunsmuir viaduct. A worker owned and operated cooperative, Shift is the perfect solution to Vancouver's bustling and dense urban core: replace costly, emissions-heavy truck transport with regular deliveries by cycle.

Black Hen Music

November, 2013

Referred to by at least one critic as "the T-Bone Burnett of Canada," Steve Dawson's record label is home to some of this continent's finest folk and roots independent artists. Being personal fans of many of their roster artists, including Jim Byrnes and Kelly Joe Phelps, we're thrilled to have a continuing business relationship with Black Hen.
